Warehouse & dispatch

Warehouses and bins, the Scan Centre, counts, picking, packing and freight.

  • Warehouses, bins and stock levels — Stock is held per warehouse and per bin. Set up your warehouses and bins on the Warehouse page; offsite supplier warehouses show what a supplier holds but are never picked from.
  • Pick and put-away rules — Choose which bin stock is picked from (per warehouse, per category or per product), what each bin is for, and where deliveries are put away.
  • Scan Centre: every mode — Receive deliveries, look stock up, move it, count it and put returns back — all by scanning. Every mode in one strip.
  • Barcodes, carton barcodes and shelf labels — Give a product extra barcodes (a carton that counts as 12, a supplier code), link unknown barcodes as you scan, and print product and bin labels.
  • Cycle counts and stocktakes — Count the fast, valuable lines often and the long tail rarely. Schedules make the count sheets; counting happens in the Scan Centre; variances post as adjustments.
  • Stock adjustments — Correct stock with an audited adjustment and a reason. Every change is journalled with who and why.
  • Transfers between warehouses — Move stock from one of your warehouses to another with a transfer document. Stock moves in one go when you complete it.
  • Traceability: batches and serial numbers — Follow a batch or serial from the supplier to the customer — for recalls, warranty claims and expiry — or see which batches went on an invoice.
  • The Dispatch board: pick, pack, send — Every invoice with goods still to leave, as a board in five lanes. Drag a card along, or tap it to pick, book freight and dispatch.
  • Get one order out the door, step by step — From a card in To pick to goods on the truck: claim it, pick it, book the label, dispatch — or mark it collected.
  • Waves: pick several orders in one walk — Tick several orders on the Dispatch board and release them as one wave: one walk of the building, one tote per order.
  • Pick lists: print or scan to pick — Every sales order, invoice and workshop job has a printable pick list, sorted by bin, with Scan to pick for a scanner in hand.
  • The pack bench: verify, box and dispatch — A full-screen bench for a scanner and a scale: scan every item out of the tote into boxes, weigh them, then dispatch. No label until the counts match.
  • Book freight and print labels — Get live carrier rates for the boxes, book the label, print it and send the tracking — from the Dispatch board or the invoice.
  • Freight and shipping setup — Where goods ship from, your freight margin, the courier cut-off, your own rate tables, and connecting carriers for live rates and labels.
  • Day close, performance and TV mode — Scan each box onto the truck and close the handover, see whether the floor is getting better, and put the warehouse on a TV.
