The pack bench: verify, box and dispatch
A full-screen bench for a scanner and a scale: scan every item out of the tote into boxes, weigh them, then dispatch. No label until the counts match.
Where it is
Settings for this
- Settings → Shipping & freight → Require pack verification — When on, no carrier label until the bench verifies the order. Default: off
Picking is fast and makes mistakes; the bench is where they're caught. Open it from Pack bench on Dispatch — it runs full screen with no sidebar.
- Choose the warehouse if you have several.
- Scan the tote label (or type the invoice number).
- Scan each item out of the tote. The first scan opens Box 1. A part that isn't on the order shows WRONG PART in red; a line already fully packed is flagged too. The counter shows how many are still to scan.
- For each box, enter its Weight (kg) and L / W / H (cm), then Close this box. The next scan opens a new box.
- When it says All items verified, press Verified — dispatch. That moves the stock and closes the order off, exactly like dispatching from the invoice (backorders work the same).
Book the label on the order's Ship tab — the box sizes and weights from the bench are what carriers price. Turn on Require pack verification before booking freight in Settings → Shipping & freight once the bench is in daily use; before then it would block bookings you make today.
The pack bench isn't switched on yet means the feature hasn't been set up on your account.
