Stock adjustments
Correct stock with an audited adjustment and a reason. Every change is journalled with who and why.
Where it is
- Warehouse → Adjustments
- Scan Centre → Adjust — The same thing by scanning, with undo
Settings for this
- Settings → Roles — “Adjust stock levels” lets a role adjust
Use an adjustment when the number is simply wrong: damage, theft, found stock, opening stock, a count correction. To move stock, use a transfer instead — it keeps both warehouses' history clean.
Make an adjustment
- Open Warehouse → Adjustments and click + New Adjustment.
- Choose the Product, the Warehouse and, if it's binned, the Bin Location.
- Choose Set to (the real count), Add or Remove, and enter the quantity. You see "current → new" before saving.
- Pick a Reason Code — Count correction, Damage / write-down, Theft / shrinkage, Write-off, Customer return, Opening stock, Stock found, Sample / giveaway, Other — add Notes, and save.
The list filters by reason and warehouse. Faster on the floor: Scan Centre → Adjust — and anything adjusted there can be undone from Activity.
Good to know
- Only your own warehouses can be adjusted — never an offsite supplier warehouse.
- "That leaves the quantity unchanged" means Set to matches what's already there.
- Many corrections at once? Run a stocktake instead.
- Customer returns against an invoice go back through Scan Centre → Returns, so the credit note and stock agree.
- No access? Your role needs Adjust stock levels.
