Dealer Management (DMS): vehicle stock and sales
The Dealer Management add-on: vehicle stock, deals and contracts, consignment, logbook servicing, bookings and the statutory dealings register.

Settings for this
- Dealer Management → Settings — Dealer licence, statutory state, contract wording, and the Taxes & fees tables.
- Settings → Billing & plan — Dealer Management is an add-on. Without it the module shows a "Talk to sales" page.
- Settings → Team → Roles — Who sees costs (See cost of goods) and margins (See profit & margin %).
Dealer Management sits in the main sidebar. It has its own menu down the left (a strip across the top on a phone), grouped by job:
- Vehicles: Stock, Vehicle Sales and Consignment.
- Service: Logbook Servicing and Bookings.
- Compliance: Dealings Book and Reports.
- Data: Parts Import and Fitment (ACES).
- Settings: Dealer Management → Settings.
On a narrow screen the menu folds to icons. The arrow at its top pins it open or shut, and your choice is remembered.
The Overview page
- Acquire vehicle and New sale buttons at the top.
- Tiles: In stock, Avg days in stock, Open deals, and (with cost or margin access) Stock value and Margin this FY. Sales figures cover this financial year; stock figures are as at today. Each tile opens the list behind it.
- Needs attention: cars listed with no asking price or no photos, no PPSR on file, units in stock a long time, quotes going stale, contracts not delivered, unconfirmed bookings and consignment payouts owed. Click a row to open it.
- Jump to: stock, sales, bookings, servicing and consignment.
- What's in this module (collapsed) says what is live and what depends on a data provider.
The life of a car
- Buy or trade in a vehicle (or order one, or book in a customer's car).
- Cost, recondition and price it.
- Sell it: deal to delivery, with taxes, duty and on-road costs and a deposit.
- Cars you sell for an owner: Consignment.
- After the sale: bookings and logbook servicing, reports and the dealings book.

Who can do it
- The add-on must be on for your business (Settings → Billing & plan).
- The menu item shows to people who can view sales orders or contacts.
- Costs, stock value and unit cost need See cost of goods (COGS); margins need See profit & margin %. Set these in Settings → Team → Roles.
