BuildTrack Pro

Customise the Check-In, QC and Delivery checklists

Edit the lists techs fill in on every job: sections, answer types, required photos or notes, signatures, what blocks a pass, and per-job-type variants.

Where it is

Settings for this

Open Settings → Workshop → Checklists. Each of the three lists (Vehicle Check-In, QC, Delivery) shows BuildTrack default or Customised.

  1. Customise (or Edit list) opens the editor. Preview shows the Technician's view live; tick and fail lines there.
  2. Name the list (List name).
  3. Lines: type what the tech must check, then click the summary on the right of the line to set:
  • Answered by: Tick, Pass / Fail / N/A, Measurement (with Unit, Min (pass) and Max (pass): outside the range fails by itself) or Text answer;
  • Photo and Note: Off, Optional, Required or Required on fail;
  • Guidance for the tech (optional), shown in small print;
  • Must be answered before the list can be completed.
  1. Sections: group lines under headings; reorder with the arrows.
  2. Signature to finish: None, Technician signs, Customer signs or Technician and customer sign.
  3. QC and Delivery only:
  • The job's parts and labour on this list: Summary of the job's lines (the default, one read-only "Labour 6/6 done · Parts 15/15 installed" block), One line per part and labour line (a second sign-off) or Template lines only.
  • A failed line blocks "Pass QC" (or "Ready for delivery"). Untick to let a supervisor sign off with fails on record.
  1. Per job type: under a list, + Different list for a job type… keeps, say, a stricter QC list for builds. Remove variant goes back to the main list.
  2. Save checklist. New jobs (and jobs that haven't saved that stage yet) use it straight away. Lists already filled in on a job are kept as they were.

Reset to BuildTrack default replaces the lines in the editor (nothing is stored until you save); Remove customisation goes back to the default.

Who can do it

Changing the lists needs settings.edit; others can view them.

On the job, QC & Handover lists what still blocks sign-off: an unanswered line, a missing photo, a fail or a signature.
