Packages: vehicle packages, accessory and option blocks

Packages drop a priced set of parts and labour onto a quote, with sections, optional extras and choices the customer can pick from on the proposal.

Where it is

Three kinds

Pick the kind when you create it; it can't be changed later.

  • Vehicle Package: for one make (and optionally model, variant and years). A lift kit fitted, a touring build.
  • Accessory Block: a reusable add-on set for any vehicle.
  • Option Block: a set of options with no package price of its own.

Create a package

  1. Open Products → Packages and click + New Package, then pick the kind.
  2. Under Package Details, enter the Name and, for a vehicle package, the Target Make (required), model and years.
  3. Click Create. You must save before adding components.
  4. Click Add Component, search by name or SKU, enter the qty and click Add. Kits can go in a package.
  5. For each line, set its Labour product and hours per unit (blank uses the product's fitting hours). Tick Optional to let the customer untick it on the proposal.
  6. Optionally Add Section to group lines the way they'll appear on the quote, and Add Choice for "pick one" or "pick any" options (e.g. wheels).
  7. Set the Package Price. Use as price copies the total RRP. The page shows what the customer saves, plus your cost and margin. Tick Show as a "From" price if it varies.
  8. Under Customer-Facing Display, choose Rolled-up or Inclusions list, add a Hero Image, a Marketing Blurb and What's Included bullets. Live Preview shows what the customer sees.
  9. Click Save.

AI help

  • AI Draft (on the Packages list): give a make, model, years and a brief. It drafts packages from your catalogue in two to four minutes. Create package keeps only the lines it matched.
  • AI Review (on a saved package) checks the pricing, finds gaps and writes customer copy. Apply what you like, then Save.
  • Build more like this makes the package for other vehicles. See Kits and packages.

Who can do it

A franchise sees head office's packages as view only.

If something's not right

  • Add Component is greyed out: save the package first.
  • "Kit has no parts configured": the kit in the package has no components, so nothing will be picked for it. Add them in Kits & BOM.
  • Compatibility warnings above the components: see Compatibility rules.
