Your range vs the supplier catalogue
The Products list opens on your range: the lines you stock, sell or order. Supplier feed lines you've never touched sit in the supplier catalogue, one click away, and join your range by themselves.
Where it is
Settings for this
- Integrations → Supplier price files — Where most catalogue lines come from
A supplier feed can load tens of thousands of lines you have never stocked. To keep the Products list about what you actually sell, every product is either in your range or in the supplier catalogue.
What's in your range
- Every service, labour, freight, external service and kit line.
- Anything with stock on hand in your own warehouses, a reorder point, or marked as a take-off.
- Anything you've sold, quoted onto an order, ordered on a PO, used on a workshop job, put in a kit or listed on Shopify.
- Anything you added by hand or approved from the approvals queue.
Stock a supplier holds for you offsite doesn't count. A business with fewer than 1,000 products keeps everything in its range.
What's in the supplier catalogue
Lines from supplier feeds and CSV imports that you've never stocked, sold or ordered. They show a Supplier catalogue badge.
A catalogue line joins your range by itself the first time you receive it, sell it or put it on a PO. You don't have to move it.
Switching
The switch at the top left of Inventory → Products reads Your range, Supplier catalogue or Everything, each with a count. It stays put when you change views or click Clear all.
When you search your range and there are more matches in the catalogue, a blue bar says so. Click Show them too to include them.
Quotes, orders and other product searches still find catalogue lines. Only the Products list is split.
Moving lines yourself
- One product: open it and use ⋯ → Move to supplier catalogue or Add to your range.
- Many: tick them on the list, then More → Move to supplier catalogue or Add to your range.
A line with stock, a reorder point or a non-part item type always stays in your range.
