Bulk edit products: set a field on many at once
Tick products, or every product matching your filters, and set the brand, category, supplier, status or a reorder figure on all of them. One click undoes it.
Where it is
Choose the products
On Products, tick rows, or tick the box at the top of the list for the whole page. With the page ticked, a blue bar offers Select all N matching: every product that matches your search and filters, across every page. Changing a filter clears that selection.
Edit field
In the dark bar, Edit field sets one field on every selected product:
- Brand and Category: picked from your lists. A name that matches an existing one ignoring capitals uses that spelling.
- Supplier, Status (active or inactive), Reorder point, Reorder qty and Min order qty. Leave a number blank to clear it.
Products that already have the value are left alone. When it's done the window says how many changed, with Undo right there.
Activate and Deactivate in the bar work the same way, for any number of products.
Undo later
Import / Export → Bulk edit history lists recent bulk changes with Undo. Undo puts each product back to what it was and leaves any product edited since as it is. Brand merges and renames from Brands are listed there too.
Who can do it
Bulk editing needs inventory.edit. Printing labels and exporting the selection stay open to anyone who can see the list.
