BuildTrack Pro

Take payment online: pay links and checkout links

Connect your own Stripe account, choose where customers can pay by card, then send pay links from invoices or checkout links from the POS.

Where it is

Settings for this

1. Connect Stripe (once)

  1. Open Integrations → Stripe → Connect Stripe. Sign in to Stripe (or create an account on the way) and approve BuildTrack Pro.
  2. Back in BuildTrack the account shows Connected. If it says Connected — not ready, finish your details in the Stripe dashboard and press Refresh status.
  3. Under Where customers can pay by card, switch on what you want: Showroom POS, Invoices, Customer portal, Quote deposits, Dealer portal. Each is off until you switch it on.
  4. Optional: Maximum online payment, so a big job is paid by transfer. It doesn't limit the POS.
  5. Save.

Card payments go straight into your own Stripe account and pay out to your bank; Stripe charges its fee on your account. Anything switched off shows your bank details instead.

On an approved invoice with a contact and money owing, open More:

  • Send Pay Link (SMS/Email) — texts and emails the customer a Pay now link. Sending it marks an approved invoice as sent.
  • Copy Pay Link — paste it anywhere.
  • Preview as Customer — opens the page the customer sees.

The pay page shows the invoice, Pay $x in full (and Pay $x deposit now when a deposit is due), and bank transfer details. Paid by card, the payment is recorded on the invoice automatically, like any other payment. The emailed invoice and automatic reminders carry the same Pay invoice online button. Franchise invoices get Copy Pay Link only.

In the Showroom POS, fill the cart and press Send checkout link. Enter the customer's email or mobile, choose how to send it and which payment options they get (Pay now by card, Pick up & pay in store, Bank transfer), then send. The customer confirms their details and address, sees delivery priced to it, can add offers, and chooses how to pay. Confirming raises an approved invoice. The link icon on the POS opens Checkout links: sent links and their state, Offers, and Settings (options ticked on new links, delivery pricing, pickup note). See Showroom POS.

If something's not right

  • No Send Pay Link in the menu — card payments for Invoices are off in Integrations → Stripe, the balance is over your Maximum online payment, the invoice has no contact, or it isn't approved yet.
  • "No channel delivered" — the contact has no mobile or email, or SMS messaging isn't set up (Integrations → Messaging).
  • Customer sees only bank details — Stripe isn't connected or ready, that channel is off, or the amount is over the limit.
  • "That Stripe account is already connected to another business" — use a different Stripe account for this business.
