Resources, price notices and announcements for dealers

Give dealers a library of install videos, PDFs, links and articles, warn them about price changes, put a message and button on their dashboard, and see what they use.

Setup → Features → Resources — Off to start with: turn it on or resources don’t show
Setup → Features → Price-change notices — On to start with
Setup → Storefront → Layout — The announcement strip and its button

Resources

Setup → Resources → New resource.
Type: Video (a YouTube or Vimeo link), PDF, File, Link or Article (written in markdown, with Preview).
Title, Category and Summary (shown on the card).
Visible to: all dealers, or only some tiers.
Show on product pages ("Guides & downloads"): attach it to Products, Product groups or Brands.
Tick Featured to show it first on the dealer's Resources page, tick Published and Save.

The list shows Order, Visible to, Featured, Published and Views. Categories (such as Installation, Spec sheets, Warranty) let dealers filter. Nothing shows until Resources is on in Features.

Price notices

Setup → Price notices → New notice.
Title, Effective date and Message.
Affected products (optional): SKUs, Brands and/or Product groups.
Who sees it: All dealers, or pick tiers.
Save draft, or Save & publish: a dashboard banner and an email, and dealers can download the affected products at their current price.

Later: Send again, Unpublish, edit or delete. A notice doesn't change any price: change your prices yourself on the day.

The dashboard announcement

On Storefront → Layout: the Announcement strip (top of dashboard) and its Announcement button: their own CSV price list, a file or resource (upload one there and it becomes a published resource), or a web link. Press Save layout. See The storefront.

Usage

Setup → Usage shows the last 30 days per dealer: Active keys, API/feed requests, Product rows served, Last API use, Resources opened and Last opened, plus your most-viewed resources.

If something's not right

Dealers can't see a resource: it isn't Published, Resources is off in Features, or it's limited to other tiers.
"That doesn't look like a YouTube or Vimeo video link": paste the video's own page link.
