Rig Builder: a "build your rig" page for your website
Customers pick their vehicle, choose the parts that fit with prices, stock and weight, and send you the build as a draft quote.
Where it is
Settings → Rig Builder → tick Rig Builder on, then Save. Copy the link for a "Build your rig" button on your website, or the embed code to show it inside a page.
What customers do
- Pick their make, model, year (and series), and which configuration it is (dual cab ute, cab chassis…) for the weight check.
- Browse the parts tagged to fit it, by category or search: price inc GST, a stock badge (In stock, Low stock or Order in, never quantities) and the weight it adds.
- Watch the payload bar: how much of the vehicle's payload the build uses, with a GVM upgrade raising the limit when they add one.
- Send the build with their name, mobile or email, postcode, rego, timing and notes.
What you get
A draft quote (source website) priced from your catalogue, with each part's fitting labour added where the product has hours and a labour item; the customer and their vehicle; a deal at New Lead; and a high-priority task Quote the website build, due in 2 hours, for the person in Send builds to (else the owner), with a notification. Check fitment, stock and weight, then send the quote. Quotes sent within a couple of hours win far more often.
Settings
- Categories to show: tick some to limit it; none ticked shows everything tagged to fit.
- Only parts in your own range leaves supplier-catalogue parts out.
- Show stock badges can be turned off.
- Only parts with vehicle fitment appear, so tag your bars, suspension, wheels and the rest to the vehicles they fit. Fitted weights come from Fitted Weights.
