Quote templates

Save a quote layout — sections, packages, choices, standard lines, deposit and wording — and lay it onto any new quote at today’s prices.

Where it is

Who this is for: whoever sets up how your business quotes common jobs and builds.

Where it is

Sell › Sales › Quotes, tab Templates (open Templates).

Make one

Two ways:

  • From a quote you're happy with: on the quote, ⋯ › Save as Template…. Give it a Template name and a Description. Any choices on the quote are listed under Choices built on this quote: tick one to keep it as a choice the customer picks from; unticked choices become plain optional lines. Press Save template; the template opens.
  • From scratch: on Templates press + New (the button at the top of the list). A template called "New quote template" opens for you to fill in.

What a template holds

  • Template: Name and Description (staff-facing).
  • Vehicle targeting: Make, Model, Variant, Year from and Year to. Leave them as "Any" for every vehicle. Templates that fit a quote's vehicle are listed first.
  • Quote defaults: Quote type (or Keep default), Proposal title, The build (purpose), Proposal intro, Hero image URL, Deposit (% of total, $ amount or Ticked items), Terms override and Quote notes.
  • Sections, each holding packages and blocks, products, canned jobs, text lines and staff notes (Add package, product, canned job or note). A section can be marked as an optional upgrade section. A price left blank uses the live price, or the customer's tier price, when the template is applied.

Press Save after changes.

Use one

  • On a new quote: pick it under Start from template in the New Quote box.
  • On an open quote: press 📐 Apply Template. It adds the template's sections to the quote at today's prices. A template's Note for staff never lands on the quote.

Franchises

Templates are shared across your network. A franchise sees head office's templates view only; they apply them from New Quote.
