Create a second business
Owners and admins can create another, separate business from the avatar menu, copy team members across, and switch between businesses without signing out.
Where it is
- Create a new business — Avatar menu → Create a new business
Each business has its own customers, stock, documents and settings. To run a second one:
- Avatar menu → Create a new business (owners and admins only).
- Basics: business name, Country (it can't be changed later; it sets currency and tax), ABN, invoice number prefix and time zone.
- What it does: Workshop & fitting, Parts, inventory & warehouse, Manufacturing or Vehicle sales; whether Workshop is on; add-ons to try.
- Sales: what an accepted quote usually becomes (see Modules & flow).
- Team: tick people from this business to bring across, or add someone new by email with a role.
- Review, then Create (name). BuildTrack switches to the new business and opens its Setup checklist.
Switch between businesses from the business name at the top left. Each has its own Settings and its own billing.
