Deals pipeline
Track bigger opportunities through your stages, mark them won or lost, and turn them into a quote.
Where it is
- CRM → Deals — The pipeline board and table.
- CRM → Deals → Workflows — Automatic tasks and follow-ups.
Settings for this
- Deals → Edit Pipelines — Add pipelines, and add, colour, reorder and archive stages; mark Won and Lost stages.
- Deals → Workflows — Rules that run when a deal changes stage, goes quiet, is won or is lost.
- Settings → Roles — View, Create, Edit and Delete deals.
Use a deal for a longer conversation, such as a fleet fit-out, a build or a dealer signing up. When the price is real, turn it into a quote.
Create a deal
- Open CRM → Deals and press New Deal, or on a contact or company use Create → Deal (it fills them in).
- Enter the title, Stage, Value (inc GST), Probability (%), Priority, Owner, Contact, Company, Vehicle (optional), Expected Close Date and Description.
- Save. It lands in that stage's column.
Work the pipeline
- The stats strip shows Open, Pipeline Value, Weighted (value × probability), Overdue and Won.
- Tabs across the top switch pipelines. Search, filter by owner or priority, show only overdue, and switch between kanban and table.
- Drag a card to move its stage. Deals in a stage that's no longer in the pipeline sit in a separate column until you drag them into a real one.
On a deal
- Click a stage on the progress bar to move it.
- Won marks it won. Lost asks why (price, competitor, no budget, timing, unresponsive, cancelled, other).
- Log notes, calls, emails and meetings in the centre; Add Task opens Tasks for this deal.
- Create Quote (under Convert Deal) makes a quote from the deal and links it; afterwards it shows View Quote. Lost deals can't be converted.
- Edit the owner, contact, company and vehicle on the right. The bin deletes the deal.
Pipelines and stages
Edit Pipelines opens Manage Pipelines: add or rename pipelines, add stages with a name and colour, tick Won stage or Lost stage, drag to reorder and archive stages you no longer use. It shows to anyone with Edit deals or Settings edit. In a franchise network, head office owns the pipelines: a franchise location works in head office's stages and doesn't see the button.
Automations for deals are in Deal workflows.
Who can do it
View deals to see the board, plus Create, Edit and Delete deals. Set them in Settings → Roles.
