Build requests: capture a build enquiry and quote it
Reception captures a customer's build on a call using your build request form; it lands in Build Requests for sales to quote (with AI or by hand) or dismiss.
Where it is
- Sales → Quotes → Build Requests — Open, Quoted and Dismissed tabs.
- CRM → Contacts — Build request button on a contact.
Settings for this
- Form → Settings → Build request intake — Which form reception fills in. One form per business.
Set up the intake form (once)
- Build a form in Forms with the questions you ask about a build (vehicle, budget, timing, what they want). See Build a form.
- On its Settings tab, switch on Make this the Build Request intake form and save. Only one form can be the intake form.
Capture a build
- From a customer's contact page, press Build request (the contact is filled in), or
- On Build Requests, press + Create Build Request and pick or create the contact.
Fill in the form, a One-line summary, Priority (High, Normal, Low) and any Sales notes, then Create build request. It shows on the contact's timeline too.
Quote it
- On Build Requests, the Open tab is what needs quoting.
- Open one to read the answers, then press ✨ Quote with AI → or Quote manually →. The quote is linked and the request moves to Quoted. See Create and send a quote.
- Not going ahead? Dismiss it with a reason; it stays under Dismissed.
If something's not right
- "No build-request form configured": switch on Build request intake on a form's Settings tab.
- Where is it? Build Requests is a tab on Sell › Sales › Quotes for anyone who can view quotes or the CRM. A contact's build request and the timeline open it too.
