Shipment tracking
Record the carrier and tracking number for each consignment, then email the customer the tracking in one click.
Where it is
- Sales → Invoices — Shipping & Tracking panel on the right of the invoice.
Settings for this
- Settings → Orders → Customer updates — "On its way" emails the customer automatically when a shipment is recorded.
- Integrations → Freight carriers — Connect carriers to price and book freight from the invoice.
- Settings → Shipping & freight — Freight margin and rounding on quoted freight.
- After a dispatch you're asked for tracking straight away — or press + Add tracking in the Shipping & Tracking panel any time.
- Pick the Carrier (or Other and type its name), enter the Tracking number, and for Other a Tracking URL. The Track → link is built from the carrier and number.
- Add one entry per consignment — a part-dispatched invoice can have several.
- Send Tracking emails the customer every tracking link on the invoice.
- With On its way switched on in Settings → Orders, the customer is emailed automatically when a shipment is recorded.
- Freight booked from the invoice's freight quotes adds its own tracking. See Book freight.
- For a Shopify order, tracking goes to Shopify and Shopify emails the customer.
- Freight you charge is just a line on the invoice (🚚 Add freight…); it never takes stock.
