BuildTrack Pro

Email customers from BuildTrack with Gmail

Each person connects their own Gmail: emails with customers appear on their timeline, and Email on a contact sends from your own address.

Where it is

Settings for this

Connect your Gmail

  1. Open Integrations → Gmail.
  2. Press Connect Gmail and sign in to Google (Workspace or personal Gmail). Allow sending as well as reading.
  3. Back in BuildTrack the card shows Connected, the account and Last synced.

Everyone connects their own. Your colleagues' mailboxes aren't shared through yours.

What it does

  • Every 10 minutes BuildTrack checks your mail for emails to or from your contacts. Sync Now runs it straight away.
  • Matching emails appear on the contact's timeline and Emails tab. Emails that match no contact are never stored, so personal mail stays out.
  • Email on a contact or company page sends from your own Gmail address, and the reply threads back.

Quotes, invoices and automatic messages don't use your Gmail. They go from your business's sending address; set that up in Settings → Your domain.

If something's not right

  • "Reconnect to enable sending": the connection is read-only. Press Reconnect and allow sending.
  • "Session expired" or Reconnect badge: Google access lapsed. Press Reconnect Gmail.
  • "Last sync failed": reconnect, then Sync Now.
  • An email isn't on the contact: the address in the email must match the contact's email exactly. Or use Log email manually on the Emails tab.
