Facebook & Instagram messages
Connect your Facebook Page and Instagram account so Messenger and Instagram DMs land in the Inbox.
Where it is
- Integrations → Facebook & Instagram
- CRM → Inbox — Messenger and Instagram filters.
Settings for this
- Integrations → Inbox, SMS & phone — AI employee on Messenger & Instagram, auto-create contacts, follow-up tasks.
- Open Integrations → Facebook & Instagram.
- Press Connect Facebook. Facebook asks which Page and Instagram account to link.
- Back in BuildTrack you see Connected channels: each Facebook Messenger and Instagram Direct account with its status.
- Send a test DM to your Page. It should appear in the Inbox.
Reconnect / add Page links another Page or fixes an expired connection. Disconnect stops new messages coming in.
Good to know
- New conversations can create a contact and a follow-up task, and the AI can answer. Set that in Inbox settings.
- Meta only lets a business reply within 24 hours of the customer's last message. After that, reach them another way (text or email from their contact).
- Until Meta has approved BuildTrack's app for your Page, only Pages whose admins are testers on the app deliver messages. If a connected Page gets nothing, contact support.
