Sales channels
Shopify: setting up, linking products, stock, prices and orders.
- Setting up the Shopify channel — Connect the store, map a warehouse, link your SKUs, then decide how price changes are approved, in that order.
- Is the Shopify sync actually working? — Health → Status gives each part of the channel a verdict (Working, Needs you, Blocked or Not set up) with the last time it succeeded.
- Linking products to Shopify — A product syncs only once it is linked to a Shopify variant. Link by SKU, send new listings, or bring Shopify listings in.
- How Shopify stock levels are calculated — Published availability = on hand − reserved − open Shopify orders − safety buffer, from the warehouse you map, plus off-site supplier stock and buildable kits at the primary location.
- Why a price change waits for approval — Price changes queue for approval before reaching Shopify. Set a tolerance so routine changes go through and only big ones wait.
- What happens when a Shopify order arrives — A paid Shopify order becomes a draft invoice. Approving puts it on Dispatch; stock leaves when it is dispatched or Shopify fulfils it.
- Shopify channel settings: tax, orders, out of stock and fitment — The Settings tab of the Shopify channel: whether Shopify prices include GST, auto-approving orders, the "was" price, selling at zero, vehicle fitment and wheel specs.
- Shopify problems and what to do about them — Problems the sync could not resolve alone are grouped by cause, each with what caused it and what fixes it.
